UFO2000 is free and opensource remake of tactical part of 'X-COM: UFO Defense' game. It currently has no geoscape and economics, but it has the feature many X-COM fans dreamed for - multiplayer support.

SW instalation requirement:

You first need Allegro, Expat, Lua and HawkNL libraries installed. You also need data files from the original X-COM to play UFO2000. The game can also work with data files from X-COM demo, but you will be only able to play on 'City' map and use a limited set of units in this case. So having a full version of X-COM is highly recommended.
