Špatná synchronizace NTP

Distribuce FC 5 (upgrade z FC 4). Připojeno přes ADSL DS 1Mb/s, US 256kb/s - GTS Novera next. Po udate pomocí nástroje yum se mi dost špatně synchronizuje čas na počítači. Aktuální verze je : 2.6.20-1.2307.fc5, KDE : 3.5.5-0.2.fc5 Fedora-Core, HW: i686. ntptrace většinou hlásí stratum 6, přestože "visí" přímo na primáru :

Během updateu se nesynchronizoval vůbec (stratum 16), nyní se často snaží měnit server, někdy se nesynchronizuje vůbec.

Prosím, poraďte, čím by to mohlo být způsobeno. Přetížením serveru asi ne, zkoušel jsem i jiné, se stejným výsledkem. Takže předpokládám, že buď bude chyba někde v konfiguraci, nebo je po upgrade vadný některý balík - který by to mohl být ? Nebo chyba v konfigurac sítě ? Nebo je chyba někde po cestě k serveru - pomalé spojení apod.? FUP aktivováno není - díval jsem se na svůj účet u poskytovatele.
