Dobrý den.
Mám NB CLEVO 2200 s chipsetem SiS.
Chtěl bych na něm rozjet SAM 2007,ale po nastartování systému a naběhnutí Xek, LCD zčerná a vypne se podsvícení.
Jiné distribuce fungují. Například PCLinuxOS, Supergamer, Slax, Suse 10.1
a jiné.
Nepomůže ani změna módu při startu.
Přikládám obsah souboru Xorg.conf.

LCD panely maji tendenci se chovat vselijak zvlastne, kdyz jim predlozite nejaky zvlastni videorezim a to nejen pty notebookove a pojem zvlastni chapejte hodne siroce (spadnou tam prakticky vsechny zpusoby jak z obycejneho VGA dostat 8mi bitove barvy).

Ja bych asi zacal tim, ze vyhazim ty Modeline (ono je to dnes stejne dost na prd). Pokud nepomuze ani to, asi bych zkusil vyhodit z te sekce monitor i ty nastaveni frekvenci (dalo by se rict, ze tam jsou taky naprd, nicmene jsou natolik divne, ze si je ten XFdrake asi nevycucal z prstu ale precetl z DDC).


Osobne bych asi i odstranil ty prapodivne rezimy z screen (a nechal tam jenom tech nativnich 1024x768, ten chained mode ten display podle me stejne nezvladne a 832x624 je proste divne), nicmene to by nemelo prilis vadit.

Nicmene je to jenom strelba na slepo, chtelo by to log xserveru (ze ktereho se da napriklad vicist, jak pochopil tu sekci monitor a ktery videorezim nakonec pouzil).

díky za radu, ale asi bude pes zakopán jinde.
Bohužel log xserveru z toho nedostanu, protože se nemohu vrátit do console (nepomohlo ani povolení kláves pro návrat v xorg.conf)a nezbývá než tvrdý restart a pokusničit znova.
Ještě jsem zkoušel překopírovat xorg.conf z funkčního PClinuxOS (obojí je postaveno na stejném základu), marně.

Log to vytvari do souboru ve /var/log, ten by nemel byt problem ziskat predtim, nez ten xserver spustite (zustavaji tam pro kazdy display posledni dva).

Máte pravdu.

Tak jsem to vyřešil. Zatím teda nevím proč nefunguje 3D akcelerace s ovladačem sis, když se karta identifikuje jako SiS630 GUI Accelerator+3D (při testu tento ovladač odmítá).
Nastartoval jsem live CD v textovém módu, přepsal v xorg.conf drv sis na vesa a spustil graf. mód.
Po instalaci to jede na VESA (alespoň).
Neznáte někdo nějakou fintu, jak tuhle kartu přinutit na
3D?
Na stránkách výrobce NB se bohužel na linuxové prostředí
nebral ohled.
