| Generalnie istnieją dwie różne wersje PWM - oryginalny bardzo "lekki" manager okien oraz nowszy oparty na ION-ie PWM2 PWM był pierwszym managerem okien który stosował ramki z zakładkami oraz inną unikalną funkcjonalność która pozwalała wielu oknom z aplikacjami zostać załączonymi do tej samej ramki. Spojrzenie na zrzut ekranu pozwoli łatwo zrozumieć ideę. Jako "lekki" manager okien z naciskiem na użyteczność, PWM nie posiada pewnych funkcji stosowanych normalnie w innych współczesnych managerach. Tylko minimalizacja okien do ikon jest wspierana, ale nie ma przycisków zamykania i innych przycisków okien - potrzebne akcje są dostępne poprzez menu. Prosty i elegancki wygląd zamiast bitmapowych skórek. PWM posiada obszary robocze, menu, wsparcie dla dockletów Window Makera. Posiada dość dobrą obsługę klawiatury i niemal wszystkie elementy funkcjonalne można konfigurować do swoich potrzeb. | ||
